Roots & Berries at The Garden Café

Open hours: Saturday to Wednesday, 9am – 4pm

The Garden Café run by Roots & Berries occupies the ambient Great Cloister of Strawberry Hill House and enjoys glorious views across Horace Walpole’s 18th century naturalistic garden.

The café offers daily baked morning goods, delicious light lunches freshly prepared in the kitchen and tempting cakes and cookies for afternoon tea from their own bakery in South West London. The Roots & Berries team of chefs use seasonal and local ingredients and cater for all dietary needs.

Enjoy barista coffee from Curious Roo Coffee Roasters in Chiswick or a warming cup of tea from the Bellevue Tea Company. You can also enjoy something stronger with a range of excellent wines (including organic), craft beers, or a Hayman’s Gin and Fever-Tree tonic.

The café is open all year round from Saturday to Wednesday, 9am – 4pm and welcomes every customer with a smile and warm greeting. It is very child friendly with the safe garden offering ample opportunity to burn off excess energy from the little ones…

Come and enjoy all that we offer in the unique setting of Walpole’s Gothic castle!
